Save your jokes about the name until after the concert, these guys and gal are good. Why? Because Norah Jones just snuck in under the radar on piano and guitar. Haven’t heard a lot from dear Miss Jones for a while. Which is a shame as her last album was superb. Here, Norah is a player in a team and it must be said that the rest of the players in this bittersweet jazz ensemble are just as powerful and just as talented as dear Miss Jones. This is slow music so the ecstasy crowd will have to go next door and the Indie crowd can keep on buying suits from the charity shop and pretending to be the Kaiser Chiefs. This is music for the connoisseur. Music that harks back to a forgotten moment in history, yet still manages to be contemporary. The vocals harmonise to elicit proportions and you’ll find yourself clicking your fingers to the rhythm even more than you did the last time they release an Adams Family movie.
Relax in style with music that makes jazz and soul work together as lovers. Enjoy, my friend, enjoy.
