The UK’s biggest selling jazz artist ever is an unofficial title awarded to following the success of 2003’s Twentysomething album which has sold over 2.5 million copies. But that was then. Now’s he’s back with a new album, Catching Tales, and the first single from this album is Get Your Way.
Jamie’s all about the jazz and that’s not forgotten on this track. Its funk up in a big way though by some big bold beats that works along side some big band style brassy bits. All with a little help from Gorillaz producer Dan the Automator, which presumably wasn’t the name he was born with. Get Your Own way is a fun single that proves jazz and pop can work together in harmony.
