Any fan of 90’s brit-pop will recognise the haunting, atmospheric qualities of The Orange Lights and their striking similarity to bands like The Verve, Embrace and Coldplay. Jason Hart’s emotionally charged vocals resonate deep within the soul, filled with a yearning need to tell a story. Hart evokes a likeness to Verve front man Richard Ashcroft with an enshrouding tantric quality which spreads rapaciously to pacify the fieriest of temperaments.
Debut single ‘Let The Love Back In’ shows how the bands experienced musical partnership blends faultlessly. Managing to blend all the acoustic qualities of a good Radiohead track with the serene, uncomplicated measure of a melancholy Coldplay chart topper. Vamped and uncomplicated by an abundance of mastery in the tremolo arm department, Jason Hart and Ewan Warden‘s craft drives the tracks mood to ever increasing highs.
Easily mistaken for a Richard Ashcroft b-side this track has appeal and baring a likeliness to the experimental qualities of the afore mentioned mega man, The Orange Lights could be on to a sure fire winner.
