Glaswegian trio the Fratellis have been causing a lot of fuss and they’ve yet to release their first single. This is a band that got signed to a major label after only a handful of gigs. Theirs has been an easy ride so far, and one that would have many a struggling musician green with envy. So, why all the fuss?
Well it helps that they come across as a bunch of guys who just want to have fun. There’s no rock star aloofness here, just lots of grinning and making as much noise as a three piece group possibly can. Their fiery and instantly catchy tunes like Creepin’ Up The Backstairs, Got My Nuts From a Hippy and the forthcoming single Henrietta inspired the crowd to be rowdy and mosh out like their lives depended on it. If that isnt a good indication of what's to come, we'll hang up our skinny jeans.
