Peter, Bjorn And John release their third album Writer's
Block whichis the follow up to 2004's Falling Out.
The world can never have too much Swedish twee pop,
especially when it sounds as bright and alive as this. As they proclaim on
Objects Of My Affection "
"The question is, was I more alive then than I am now?/I
happily have to disagree/I laugh more often now, I cry more often now/ I am
more me". Young Folk, the first single
to have been released from the album, might have given only a glimpse as to
what is on offer here. Let's Call It Off is ‘60s inspired in its melody and
harmonies while Paris 2004 is just sweet with its "I'm all about you/ you're
all about me' sentiment. Blissful.
