The more fussy music lovers amongst us would have hoped Fall Out Boy to of disappeared as quickly as possible after the last couple of Americana soaked singles, but unfortunately not. They’re back, again, with more painfully middle of the road US rock, put on this earth for teen movie soundtracks and Radio One hijackings. It’s not that the guy’s got an awful voice, it’s just a bit similar to so many others out there, and it’s not that the band can’t play. They thump away at their guitars as well as the next band. It’s just that there’s a very large absence of anything interesting, refreshing and exciting. Turn on the TV or radio and you’ll hear so much stuff of such similar nature to this.
