Dirty Pretty Things managed to ride a wave of publicity with their first single ‘Bang Bang You’re Dead’ and ended up with a top five hit that was quite frankly a bit of a let down.
Dead Wood, the second release from Waterloo To Anywhere, is more of what we would expect from the ex libertines. It’s dirty rock with heavy influence obviously coming from their old comrade.
And whilst Cooper Temple Clause fans may still be seething over Didz departure his bass deliverance on the single makes you damn sure that Barat is happy he left.
Far too much has been said about this band, unfortunately very little of it is about the music and too much about who is seemingly going to come out on top. Whilst Dead Wood may not secure the crown it can sure make them stand up as contenders.
