Music Reviews Artist: Biffy ClyroTitle: 'Folding Stars'Label: 14th Floor records
'Folding Stars,' the latest single from Biffy Clyro appears an apt representation of the band’s present ambitions. For everything seems to have be taken up a notch in the Biffy Clyro camp, thus gone are the small town producers, sweaty local gigs and lo-fi artwork. Moreover it has to be said the band appear much better for the changes, and indeed sound more like themselves that their previous Nirvana/Foo Fighters -lite incarnation. 'Folding Stars' has the immediacy of the big-break single, and seems knowingly contemporary and sussed enough to sit between the record collections of either the Kerrang or NME reader. Additionally it’s nice to hear a Scottish accent on the radio for a change.
