A spectacular blazing assault of power-pop punk, the spiky tinged slant to Assembly Now, is of course, in danger if being run-of-the-mill. However, on ‘It’s Magnetic’, vocal acrobatics and an exciting top end guitar work-out provides a great single for this London quartet.
Essentially, no boundaries are being broken, but Assembly Now ooze a swimming pool quantity of passion and blind ambition, fully on display on this, their 1000 limited 7” debut single. Their name reeks of sudden invigoration, and the songs are matched with a high octane bouncy spirit. They are better than The Automatic, but in no way life changing.
