After the many smash hit club bangers that Mr Henriques has provided us with over the last few years it’s time to cool it down and churn out a slow burner that’s much more reggae than ragga.
The lyrics have obviously inspired by the loss of friends or family and it gives an unusual emotional edge to a man whose prime concerns traditionally consist of raves, girls and a good drink.
The vocals and old school reggae beat remind me of something my Jamaican uncles dance to at the end of summer barbecue, so whether or not it will appeal to his younger audience remains to be seen, but personally I prefer the tracks that get me dancing as opposed swaying.
