Electro-pop is experiencing something of a revival. Off the back of this comes new single Minimal from the Pet Shop Boys, a fully fledged camp and kitsch assault on your earholes.
With over 20 years in the business of pop and 33 hit singles to their name, these boys know what makes a good pop tune. Even if the style isn’t to your taste, it lingers in the mind, be it the punchy synths, the catchy refrain or the robotic chorus – there’s something that’ll appeal to everyone at some level.
Telex, Tiga, Tocadisco and M-Factor mix things up on the b-sides front, each with their own predictably quirky re-rub.
The single drops on 24th July, followed by a special edition clear vinyl release a week later.
