This is Nelly’s first studio album since Folklore in 2003. She says it was titled “Loose” because she wanted to let herself go creatively with this album and try something new. Maneater is the track that really stands out (made a UK number 1 as well) with a damn catchy chorus “make you work hard, make you spend hard.” Promiscuous is another hit single with Timbaland’s innovative beats and provocative lyrics “if I get lonely I’m gonna need your help.” Nelly explores her cultural roots with the tracks No Hay Igual and Te Busque. Other tracks to watch out for are Do It, Glow and Showtime. On the special edition there are also 2 bonus tracks, Let My Hair Down and Somebody To Love. Overall, a very creative album where Nelly goes back to hip hop and her musical partnership with Timbaland which hasn’t failed yet.
