In the Meantime is being billed as a record to kick out those winter blues and, apart from being rather late (its not out till April 23rd) that’s exactly what it does. Its music to sit back, nod your head to and generally feel good about yourself - it simply oozes cool.
Mocky was born Dominic Salole in Toronto Canada, but now resides in his adopted city Berlin. He describes his music as, "My own vision of Pop." As well as making music and boasting uber fashionable facial hair he has his own clothing label through which he released a “Will Smith for President” t-shirt as part of his campaign to see have the former Fresh Prince star elected in 2024.
In the Meantime is Mocky’s second collaboration with Jamie Lidell; once again their voices fuse together perfectly but this time its the funky bass riffs and faint guitar rhythms that really make the track.
The single is taken form Mocky’s third full-length album Navy Brown Blues.
