Londoner Jeremy Warmsely unleashes
his debut album The Art Of Fiction. The French-English songsmith is signed to
Transgressive Records, the label that gave you the Young Knives, as well as
helping out Mystery Jets, The Rakes and Bloc Party, etc in their early days. So
be expecting something a little off beat and special.
The titles read more like those
for short stories than pop tunes. You've got The Young Man Sees The City As A
Chess Board and Jonathan & the Oak Tree, amongst others. Well at the least
the name of the album would have given away the fact this is not a collect of
whinny love gone wrong songs. Some like I Promise may not be as lively as some
of the others but you'll risk missing the exuberant ones such as 5 Verses and
recent single I Believe In The Way You Move.
