At fifteen Jamelia was signed to EMI where she created Drama in 2000. After giving her birth to her first daughter “Thank You” was the comeback album where she came
back looking Hot and fierce! The debut single of the album “Superstar” was a pop hit and more hits came after. “Thank you” explaining her past abusive relationship, this tune toppled the charts due to the empowering lyrics. Next came “see it in a boy’s eyes” co-written with Chris Martin and “DJ” a pop/rock fusion track.
Returning back to the scene after her second daughter with Fiancee Daniel Byfield she produced a follow-up album “Walk with me”. Jamelia then announced that she would be leaving her current record label due to problem with them managing her career.
Jamelia being one of the top most successful UK singer also covered 1988 Sam Brown “Stop” for the film Bridget Jones: The edge of the reason, which is also featured on the hits album. As well as tracks it contains a PC feature that has exclusive interview footage and videos.
