If in the midst of the tales of drunken nights out and relationship dramas you’ve forgotten that Ms Church is in fact a singer and not just someone who gets papped falling out of nightclubs then Crazy Chick is your reminder.
Taken from Tissues and Issues, her first album as a pop singer, Crazy Chick is a big departure from her days as a soprano singer. Influenced by the pop of ‘60s Motown, the grown up Charlotte is obviously not ashamed to have a little fun and not take herself seriously. After all, how many people do you know could get away with screaming ‘I need professional help!’? It’s not a tune that will gain her instant credibility with the more snooty minded of music lovers but that shouldn’t stop her from gaining a whole new bunch of fans.
