With this being the tandem’s final swansong in their remixing crusade on some of the biggest acts in music (Wu-Tang Clan & Bjork), they’ve assembled a medley of tracks that incorporate influences from broken beat, electro and hip-hop. The remix of Lamb’s ‘Heaven’ makes for easy listening without sending you off to the land of nod while their take on ‘No Fire’ by Enik uses some down-tempo strings and drums at a high speed pattern that is signature of the German duos decade-long legacy. Apart from Bjork’s ‘All is Full Of Love’ which sounds a little over-done the pair have managed to showcase an eclectic array of styles without sounding fluctuating by any means. They’ve steered well clear of the pop induced ‘Vice Versa’ effort of 2001, and now Michael Fakesch and Christian de Luca can go their separate ways knowing that they’ve left with a sterling effort that is true to their mantra of breaking musical boundaries and being outright daring.
