Totty boy Skepta inevitably one of the best mc’s in the game, right now! Having maximum success in the underground scene he has made it producing an 14 track album (not a mixtape) which has made release into HMV stores.
Skepta has transitioned from a producer to the most talked about Mc’s on the scene, departing from the Meridian crew he has started his own label and camp BOY BETTER KNOW containing more talented artists such as Wiley, brother JME, Frisco and some members of the Meridian crew plus many more. Alongside having the T-shirt making business and loading an amount of slang quotes like POOMPLEX, SHOWER, SERIOUS! They are known from Sweden, USA and around the world.
Self produced album with his debut single and club hit Doin it again which featured other mc’s such as Bossman, Footsie, JME, Bearman and others. Cheeky and witty bars in Single “if your single lets mingle, if’s he buff put he’s number in your phone, if you wanna take him home, go on then go then”
Ayia nape skit 2006 ingeniously recorded on his phone in napa while locked up in jail and he explains in a few bars on a beat what happened. Favourite track on the album is drum n bass banger In a corner hard baseline with trigger on the catchy chorus, this would definitely be a club hit.
Sticking to his roots he remixed Afro-beat Prince Nico Mbarga sweet mother, expressing his love for his mother still keeping it grime with the jumpy kicks and snares.
Undoubtedly the best grime album of the year bouncy rhythms and witty punchlines. It had taken him a while but it was worth the wait.
