Another girl band on the scene is usually met with scepticism. “They best be coming with something new!” seems to be the general consensus. Sadly, when it comes to Honey Shot, they don’t even begin to deliver the goods, judging by this weak debut. The production and vocals sound dated and unoriginal, and someone should have told the girls that rapping in a semi-American accent when you’re a UK act is not the way forward. At best this may become one of those “so bad it’s actually good” tunes, one that annoyingly sticks in your head in the vein of ‘Baby Cakes’ a few years back. But even that appears doubtful. Honey Shot-Landing in a bargain bin near you soon!
