The people who brought you Heat In The Streets, oddly enough, bring you Heat In The Street Vol 2. Britain's most wanted mix tape, don't expect Fatman Scoop or any other chunks of commercial kiss FM daytime crime rhyming from this.
The tunes will sound familiar, but this is nice and underground with the MC'ing doing more than just that. Elliot Ness and Maihem are putting down their own rhymes, getting in the hooks where possible and making these tunes and samples their own. TNT behind the turntables picks a fine selection and there is some sharp and witty rhyming going on here with the right amount of attitude, delivery and tone to give the yanks a sweat on.
They need to lose the gunshot jingles that keep flying in and out of almost every tune though. The true sound of the pirates.
