The Grammy Award winning and world’s most ridiculously named rapper Chamillionaire (a portmanteau of "chameleon" and "millionaire") returns with the first single from his new album “Ultimate Victory”.
A new rap record doesn’t excite me like it used to because I – and everyone else – knows what to expect; a heavy, catchy beat, female vocals and bragging vocals about what they got and who they know. So, if you’re looking for an original take on hip hop then this isn’t the one for you because Cham’s constant boasting (“I’m a self employed CEO.”) can get a bit grating. Also, why are Kelis’ husky vocals wasted? You can barely hear her and they might as well got someone else with half the talent and none of the personality that Mrs Nas possesses.
‘Not A Criminal’ scores nil points for originality but as per usual the beat will make it a hit.
