Every once in a while, a song comes along which makes you question its purpose. Taken from their ‘Like Father Like Son’ album, the Cash Money duo release ‘Stuntin’ Like My Daddy’, which does just that. Not to be confused by the tracks name, there’s no relation between the two, which makes Lil Wayne calling Birdman ‘Daddy’ slightly ermm uncomforting. Take away the lyrics, and you’ve got a bumping snap beat laced with a vicious horn throughout. Add the lyrics and you have Birdman & Lil Wayne talking about the haters, money and cars. No surprises coming from the Cash Money camp then. When will this subject ever get old? Hip Hop? Sounds like they want to make a quick buck, rather than making their stamp on the genre.
