If there were one way to describe Ms Knight, it would have to be as a master (or even mistress) of her trade. If there was ever an artist who could create a pure British sound with toe-tapping, hand clapping rhythm, it is bev. Keep the fire burning is the third single to be taken from her critically acclaimed album ‘Affirmation’. Previous singles from the album have yet to dazzle the mainstream but this beat heavy track looks set to burn through the charts. On a track like this, many female artists vocals would be lost, but Beverley knight has one of the most powerful voices around which is complemented by the edgy, personal lyrics that allow her to release her rich sound throughout.
