The World’s Greatest Electro Club MixLabel:
Resist

Resist now present the 7th in the series of The World's Greatest...' , previous releases have packaged Trance, Electro House, Hardcore, Hard Dance, Ibiza Club Mix and Funky House. The aim is to produce a mid-price 3xCD showcasing both” the freshest upfront sounds together and modern classics”.
In truth what you get is more akin to ‘upfront’, with a host of recent and current tracks and very little exploration of the early works that preceded them , and set the blueprint for the genre. If your definition of electro relates to Street Beats, Adidas, Run DMC and Whodini, then this is absolutely not for you. However, the ‘original’ electro compilations have been rinsed dry now, there are very few tracks from that era that have not been re-discovered and re-packaged, so this release is a handily-priced bonus for those wanting to check out newer sounds.
There are 45 tracks spread over 3CDs. CD1 'HOUSE MIX' contains all the big tunes, standout track by a mile is Vandalism's new remix of the Chicken Lips' modern classic 'He Not In'.
CD2 'UNDERGROUND MIX' has a broader feel and loosely aims to capture the wider field of ‘Electro influenced music’ so you get Dave Spoon's remix of LXR vs Andrea Doria 'Freak Me' as well as Ben Macklin's maximal remix of Mike Polo feat. Tiger Lily "Free".
CD3 'BEATS MIX' is a big, noisy collection of speaker botherers. Bodysnatcher's 'Big Ass, Mini Skirt' is the highlight.
