After success with their award winning night Traffic, the Future Thinkin collective unleash their first release on the FTR label. is known primarily for his verbal talents around the microphone, but here showcases his production skills.
Chasing Dreams offers a hypnotic sound-scape, demonstrating creative use of piano and strings. Emotions of summer days gone by drift around a subliminal bass, which gives just enough weight to provide for the dance-floor.
Hidden Message is something quite different. Unique skippy drums make way for an unorthodox bass pattern, that subtlety growls its way through the track. Sound Fx linger in the background, creating an almost Sci- Fi theme. Not initially as grabbing as the F-side this Hidden Message eventually makes its way into your cranium.
A solid first twelve inch, which should see FT firmly secure their place in the Drum & Bass vinyl market.
Both tracks are already receiving good support from Dj Marky, Fabio, Commix and Nookie.
