Imagine one of the (Dylan Durns or Kaz James) saying the words at the beginning of "I like the way" as they are walking down a hallway.
"There are so many things I like about you/ I just don't know where to begin/ Ok well/ I like the way you look at me with those beautiful eyes…." etc
There is nothing but stark white walls and a door at the end of the hall. As they are talking you can hear the muffled bass line of a track getting louder and louder as he approaches the source behind the door. In precisely one minute and three seconds they reach the end of the hallway, stop, and are standing in front of the door.
"I like the way you like to shake your hair/ I like the way you like to touch"
At precisely 1min and 27seconds into the track (and on the "M" of "I like the way you Move") they lift their leg and kick the door in front of them with such ferocity it flies off it's hinges and collapses into the room beyond.
There is an instantaneous wall of sound that bursts from the room as you look in and see the best and most decadent party in town in full swing. Dirty FX'd guitars, hand claps and wheezing bass all burst from the speakers spurring the mass of movement on. Pure party fodder.
"I like the way" will be a hit mainly, I think, because of its energy but it still doesn't excuse the lame mock live performance I saw yesterday on T.V.
