If you’re thinking of ploughing through your cd collections in the hope of finding some of those old dance tunes, I order you to stop! There is a new album in town and it boasts re-workings of some of the all time dance classics.
Bare Foot is an album of reinterpreted club classics with a quirky, if not jazzy twist that may even have been overlooked in their original form. This album showcases the act’s talent for putting a distinct spin or what others might class as a much idealised track. The underworld classic ‘Born Slippy’ is a testament to this unique talent by reworking the vocals so that it becomes more coherent than its original format.
Covering a classic track is always a hard feat to emulate but Bare Foot seem to have the ability to rework these classics in such a way that the audience feel as if we are being given brand spanking new material. Taking euphoric club moments and transferring them to a different mood and place each time it is easy to be forgiven for forgetting the originals.
