 Vatican DC are to release their second single on Red Flag Recordings following up download only ‘Wow!’, it will be backed by belter ‘Do You Wanna Dance’ on three formats CD, 7 inch and Download.
Vatican DC were born in a bedroom, using liberated instruments and inspired by the opposite of the disenchantment they were feeling. Daniel had been in bands in Sweden, his first had covered Nirvana's ‘Bleach’ from start to finish live, his second taught him to program beats with Northern European precision. Irish Steve had achieved mythic status in the capital, a rolling soul famous for being himself. He had to be the singer. Vatican DC's first missile was the synthi-punk single ‘Pink Hotel’ that resulted in a signing to Red Flag Records and tours with the Rakes, Bloc Party and the Prodigy.
Vatican DC have just finished recording their first album in Eastcote Studios aided by the sonic wizard Eliot James (Futureheads, Bloc Party, Rakes), the second single from which, the thunderous ‘Side To Side’, is released on 9th October.
