The hip hop label Rawkus Records is on the hunt for 50 unsigned artists to put its mighty resources behind. The label that was once home to Mos Def and Talib Kweli, and now boasts Kidz in the Hall on their books, is looking for submissions now. To be considered you must have a developed MySpace community and some youtube links to show for yourself. Slop Funk Dust, content manager of the RAWKUS 50 project describes it as “the perfect opportunity for that one guy, that’s been recording albums in his basement and posting his videos on youtube. It is also perfect for artists that are already established and have followings and are just interested and hungry.
