The Hop farm in Kent is set to become the destination of choice for UK festival goers this summer, with promoter Vince Power launching his musical and comedic extravaganza.
On July 5th Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding (AKA Howard Moon and Vince Noir) will delight revellers with their magical and comical wizardry as they take a hilarious journey from their Nabootique homeland to the very ends of the comedy universe. If an entire day of comedy sounds too much, fear not they will be inviting their favourite musical talents along to keep you company. Welcome to Mighty Boosh Festival.
July 6th is the real day for music however with the farm being taken over by Neil Young, Primal Scream and a string of others including Supergrass, My Morning Jacket and The Guillemots. Its being billed as the 'festival goers festival' – no VIP, no pre-registration, no branding, no sponsorship. Its back to the buy a ticket and turn-up model with attention going to the acts not the promotion.
With the already legendary headline act Neil Young appearing, The Hop Farm Festival’s additional superstar act will further underline the rise of the new prestigious Vince Power Music Group, which devised Europe’s most exciting festival Benicassim in Spain – the continents ‘Glasto del Sol’ experience.
For those that don't know the name Vince Power was instrumental in the success of Reading, Leeds, Glastonbury, Homelands, Creamfields and Tribal Gathering festivals as well as venues such as the Astoria, The Forum and Jazz Cafe. As if thats not enough he's been credited as being responsible for the re-union of the Sex Pistols and was the man behind Benicassim, the so called 'Glasto del Sol'.
