For all those looking for something a little bit special to
ease you into the summer, Headland have landed with just the seductive ticket.
Headland don’t fit neatly inside a box for you to peck at. They pride
themselves on being off-centre, forward thinking and uber-sexy, even a touch
sinister and twisted.
'Monster in a Shirt’ is the first single from Headland’s
second album, a well crafted electro-rock gem, best served with ice and a
slice. It’s accompanied by a rocking Headland vs Agent Sumo remix.
However, as with all things Headland, there’s a twist.
‘Monster in a Shirt’ will be the first in a slinky procession of bi-monthly
download releases, culminating in the album in its entirety. It’s only right
that Headland HQ give the people what they want, when and how they want it.
Using what can only be described as futuristic and extraordinary super tubes,
Headland will deliver these releases directly into the computers and other such
technological gadgetries of the public.

As if this wasn’t enough, Headland will be playing West
London industry knees-up ‘Meet The Greek’ at Nektar in Latimer Road on Sat 15
July, and performing at ‘Electrogogo’ at Madame Jo Jo’s on Thurs 3 August, with
festival confirmations to be announced soon.
Radio support from Zane Lowe and Rob Da Bank, through to
XFM, and press coverage from The Guardian to Jockey Slut for Headland’s debut
album, all detected something quite special. Headland were merely warming up.
They’ve found new toys and opened new doors, and now they’re ready to come out
and play again.
