Pop star Lily Allen has been reunited with her stolen puppy after the pooch was knicked from a freind's van just before the New Year.
The 21-year-old pop star was left distraught after she discovered that her beloved English bull terrier Maggie May had gone missing.
"Maggie May is back at home safe and sound. She is riddled with fleas, a bit sad and very thin, but that's not the point. I can't tell you how overjoyed I am to have her back" Lily Allen revealed on her MySpace blog.
The couple that supposedly 'found' Maggie did not want to return her at first, but after a reward was offered they were happy to do so. They then proceeded to try and sell the pop star more puppies!
Lily wrote:
"Once Maggie had been handed over, the young men and woman offered to sell more puppies to my friends which made us realise that these people were obviously in the business of moving dogs... Now I feel guilty for having given these people money and contributing to their cruel business but I love that dog and felt I had no choice. This has been an awful experience and people who are accusing me of neglecting my dog in some way are distressing and hurtful."
The police and RSPCA are now involved.
