Joss Stone is set to write and record a campaign song for US Democrat presidential hopeful Barack Obama.
The British soul singer was reportedly approached personally by Mr Obama to record a theme-song for his presidential campaign, partly because he believes her music has cross-racial appeal.
Stone, who spends up to nine months a year in the US, was said to be “honoured” to have been asked and is now in a recording studio working on the song.
Alicia Keys and Jay-Z have also dedicated songs to Mr Obama in the lead up to his November election battle with the Republican senator John McCain.
