Estelle's record company has removed her album from iTunes in America in a bid to increase physical sales.
Warner claim that this strategy is designed "optimise revenues and promote long-term artist development". Hmmmm.... Sounds like another example of the music industry trying to fight against digital downloads if you ask me!
Estelle's single 'American Boy' fell from number 11 to 37 on the Billboard chart following its removal from the online service and her album 'Shine' dropped 121 places.
Way to go Warner!
