Corrine Bailey Rae did herself proud at last nights MOBO awards knotching up as many wins as RnB superstar Beyonce.
Held at London's Royal Albert Hall, UK singer Corrine Bailey Rae won Best UK Female and Best UK newcomer. Beyonce, who was booed by the crowd for not turning up to collect her awards bagged Best Song for Deja Vu and Best International Female. Presenter Gina Yashere made light of the situation saying that she could take the award home herself!
Similarly Beyonce's man Jay-Z won Best International Male, but also failed to turn up to the event.
Black Eyed Peas won Best Group and London rapper Akala followed in the footsteps of his older sister, Ms Dynamite, by winning the award for Best Hip Hop Artist.
Veteran soul performer Sam Moore won the lifetime achievement award performed and performed 'I Can't Stand The Rain' with singer Keisha White before closing the show with his hit Soul Man.
