Festival of Youth Arts is a fantastic week long festival taking place in London this May that celebrates the creative work of young people.
Through the event, young people are given the opportunity to showcase their talents and perform to the public at various venues across the capital.
Performances take place across 5 different creative areas - music, moving image, dance, drama, fashion, art.
Launching in London’s Trafalgar Square, the festival is a great opportunity for young musicians to network.
In the run up to the launch Festival of Youth Arts will be touring London schools and youth groups with creative workshops in music production and street art. With the help of skilled supervisors, students will be able to mix their own music tracks and contribute to a piece of art work which will be unveiled at the Trafalgar Square launch.
The launch itself takes over the whole of Trafalgar Square on Saturday 27th May and will include a performance stage, giant video screens, a fashion catwalk, workshop areas for the audience to get involved and art displays.
The festival runs from Saturday 27th May – 2nd June 2006.
