Mobile giant Nokia is to sponsor a UK gig tour this Autumn in a bid to get more people to download music to their mobile phones.
150 gigs are to take place across the UK with bands such as Radio Soulwax, Queen Adreena, El Presidente, The Needs, Seethrer and New School of Rock.
Participating artists will pre-record tracks available for music fans to download free music via Bluetooth at selected venues.
As a brand Nokia are already heavily involved in the music arena, with involvement at events such as the Reading and Leeds Festivals, the Nokia Urban Music Festival, Nokia Isle of Wight Festival, The O2 Wireless Music Festival and the Rip Curl Boardmasters Surf Festival.
Earlier this year Nokia also signed up to sponsor Virgin Radio’s Online Music Chart show.
