Pay For Legal Music Downloads |

 Music fans would be more likely to pay for legal downloads if they could get the full music video at the same time, according to a new report compiled and researched by Entertainment Media Research.
The research was compiled by asking 850 UK music buyers, aged between 13 and 45, with internet access what they would want to receive in addition to music, if they were to be persuaded to pay for legal music downloads.
According to the findings, 24% of people said that getting the full video would persuade them to pay for legal music downloads, while 16% said that receiving the album cover in addition to the music would persuade them.
Other extras that people wanted were artist information and images, lyrics and bonus tracks. However, 5% said that nothing would persuade them to pay for legal music downloads.
Patrick Johnston, head of business development at Entertainment Media Research, said:
'The findings will be critical to the music industry in its efforts to stem the growing tide of illegal downloading and to convert this into a revenue-generating activity.'
