Kiss 100 has teamed up with Nokia to support its sponsorship of this year’s Urban Music Festival (UMF) on Saturday 16th April. Kiss 100 - the official radio station for the festival - will broadcast live from the event itself at Earl’s Court as well as providing on-air sponsorship, SMS, download and online activity.
Kiss will also air a series of Nokia-sponsored ‘Smooth Groove’ shows this week with takeover hosts such as Craig David, Estelle, Blak Twang and Xzibit stepping in. UK acts performing at this year’s event include Craig David, Estelle, Floetry, Blak Twang, The Mitchell Brothers, Jay Sean, Keisha White, Kano, Javine and Killa Kela. Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff are the latest artists to join the line-up.
As well as the action on stage, Festival-goers will be able to polish their creative skills in a series of workshops in breakdancing, MCing, beatboxing, music production and DJing as well as, new for 2005, an Artist Advice workshop.
Simon Lloyd, head of marketing for Nokia mobile phones, said:
"The festival looks set to be a fantastic event and Kiss 100's on-air coverage, plus the on- line and mobile promo activity, will bring the spectacle to a much wider audience."
