2: Metal Gear Solid 4- Guns of the Patriots

Why we all want it: Snake!!! With the classic stealth combat Metal Gear Series into its fourth and possibly final (at least for the current protagonist Solid Snake) installment, this is one of the major ‘must buy’ games for the PS3. In fact for many this will be the main reason to buy a PS3 period. And from what we know rightly so.
The Metal Gear series pretty much invented and refined the ‘combat stealth’ genre and its next outing promises to redefine it again. Metal Gear Solid 4 portrays a near future world where mercenaries fight all over a war torn world on behalf of big business. When one of them, called Outer Heaven, amasses enough weapons to threaten the free world, Solid Snake is sent to a battle zone in the Middle East to investigate.
The potential of creator Hideo Kojima's next-generation interpretation of the Metal Gear saga lies not just in the scope of the story- which features a much older and possibly dying Snake on his final mission- but also in a new approach to the traditional stealth and combat of the series. With the tag line, ‘No Place to Hide!’, MSG4 sees Snake using a high tech Octocamo suit, which allows him to blend in with any surface and hide in plain sight.
The graphical prowess of the PS3 will also be ‘in plain sight’ in a big way through MSG4 and if the trailers thus far are any indication, Metal Gear Solid 4 will be one of the most beautifully detailed PS3 games out there.
If this is to be Solid Snakes swan song, it’s shaping up to be an amazing one that every PS3 owner and serious gamer will need to play.
