3: Army of Two
Genre: Third Person Shooter
Developed by: Electronic Arts

Why we all want it: Co-op rules! There are few things more fun than being able to run through an entire game with a buddy. Most games add co-op as a throw away extra, but when a game is designed so totally for two players, as Army of Two is, you have the promise of something special.
The two main characters, Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem are mercenaries and former special rangers sporting distinctive trademark ballistic facemasks as they work in tandem on dangerous battlefields across the globe. Players will join up with either the game's built-in "Partner Artificial Intelligence" (PAI) or other players to take the fight to the enemy.
Just about every aspect of the game is co-operative, with players needing to work together closely to survive and take out the enemy. Rios and Salem can give each other ammo, stand back to back while covering enemies in a 360-degree arc, help each other rappel down buildings, work together to knock over heavy tables and move them as portable cover, apply first aid, and carry each other if one is shot.
And even better than all that is that Army of Two looks pretty funny, like an 80’s action buddy movie, as the stoic Rios and crazy Salem bicker with each other over the gun fire. This one should be a great game to work through with a friend, if EA can deliver on the co-op action- and the cheesy laughs.
