Those were the days when there was no les than 10 clubs, on a Friday or Saturday, playing Garage, as their main attraction.

    They include:

    1. Club Coliseum(Liberty)
    2. Andrenalin Village(Suncity)
    3. SW1 Club(Pure Silk)
    4. Bass Club(Cookies and Cream)
    5. Leisure Lounge(Various promotions
    6. Chelsea Football Club(Stush)
    7. Vauxhall Arches(Various promotions)
    8. Gass Club(Usual promotions)
    9. Camden Palace(Experience)
    10. Club UN or Aztec Lounge(Three Wishes)

We were true-ly spoilt for choice back then, and if you checked ITV page 363, teletext, you found tens of othere raves that were going on. In 1998 the mangnitude of Garage raves going on, was magnificant.

What are we left with now, Ministry oF Sound, the life boat for Garage.

Totally agree! i remember those days. You'd be sitting round having a smoke up for hours trying to decide where to go!

And stush! Jesus i dont think that many people would remember that. I never actually went there, but always bought the tapes packs.

"Its Bruce Dyer and DT, im doing it warm and easy!"

Gass was a regular for me too. "One night stand" was a wicked night - mainly older peeps there so i felt a bit young though but still it was heavy!

Sun City was a big rave back in the day.

Cookies was the one i probably went most regular. It was the first promotion i ever went to, back when it was in leisure lounge!

Anyone used to go Chunnel club in Vauxhall? That was pretty decent too.

Absoloutely love this one. Took me ages to track down the vinyl but i ended up getting it.
This recording has only got the (Very Long) intro. The best part is when it switches to some dirty Sub-bassline and then drops (Which aint in this!) .... Heavy

Big up this one too. Nice little chillout kinda track. Reminds me of the chillout room of the Scala - cotchin on a white leather sofa sippin champagne...

This one too is a classic...

Sorry to keep adding tunes to this but this is one of my favourite of all time. Listen to the breakdown - one of the best peices of MUSIC you'll hear (In my opinion)... Breakdown comes in around 1min 3secs

How can tunes like all the ones listed on this page be "Dumped" in favour of grime?

I was only 14 then but thats when i started gettin into Garage. When everyone else was on Jungle (remember the jungle mania cd's?) i was listening to garage.

Yeah Tempo, those four tunes posted up heavy mate, absolutely feeling them riddems.
All the traacks posted on this thread are all heavy, they illustrate some of the best years i have had clubbing, god bless the two step.

I don't think those tunes got dumped for grime, but when Dj Zincs "138Trek" dropped, everyone wanted to make that style of Garage, but many did bad copies of it, thus creating Grime.
