if you were a actually a GOOD dj, in need of a surface for your decks, you wouldn't need to ask us

the contrete slabs would HELP vibration...u need to use soft things like sheets of foam to ABSORB vibration...solid objects jus amplify vibration

deck stands that are specifically desingned for decks are poor and encourage skipping (iv used one for a year so id know)

iv also tried the whole foam thing under the decks but i was just asking other people out there what they used and other setups they use to get the most out of there turntables.

@ $$$$$ number 1 - iv had a table, the surface is too solid thus making vibrations travel up to the needle causing feedback somtimes, and can also proove to be too low.

@$$$$$ number 2 - i am a good dj and would probably piss all over you, tit

so, lemme get this str8, thos contrete slabs are on top of the speakers, or ur speakers are on top of them?

ok...if the slabs are on top, that jus muffles ur bass slightly but it does stop the vibration slightly but it does to good of a job and also absorbs some of the bass.

the the speakers are on the concrete (thats wot i originally thought u meant), itll stop the table vibration, but all ur gonna get is the speaker box vibrating more to compensate. and that would be even worse coz itll interfere wiv the internal speakers.

foam jus absorbs the vibration, concrete reflects it.

the speakers have subs on them aswell
they sit on the same table as the decks - which sit on concrete slabs

b4 i put the concrete on the needle used 2 jump slightly and get feedbak from the vibration of speakers - since i put the concrete underneath it has improved it a bit

also rise the decks up a bit so at a better height - main reason 4 them really

What about using them out of a flight case? I'm thinking about getting one - mainly just so everything is a bit neater though. Can you still wire them up if you leave them in the flight case? Anyone know a good place to get one?

my mate has his decks in flight cases wiv one of them X keyboard stand things - u can have them wired up in the flight cases

but it isnt very stable but thats cause of the X stand thing - on a table they would b good in flight cases cause they have foam in them!
