    Default weekly ICEMAN post

The weekly ICEMAN post in association with treejumper.com

Due to the sufficient amount of new sounds emerging out of the UK Garage Industry the weekly ICEMAN post have felt the need to categorise or section of the different styles of garage. We are not indicating in any way that any of the artists mentioned in this post produce in particular styles or sounds we know that one artist can create as many tracks in as many styles of Garage. Whether you produce, listen, support, or rave to whatever type of Garage remember the new sounds that emerge out of the scene are progressive!!!!!

IS THAT FÚCKING CLEAR ENOUGH OR DO YOU NEED PICTURES!!!

For latest info and forth coming updates in the following sub genres:

*-> Beats and bass (narrows, oris jay, sirus, bogeyman)
*-> Breaks (ed 209, deekline, DJ mutiny, freq nasty, oris jay)
*-> Dub step (kode 9, horse power, hatcha, digital mystics, tempa recordings)
*-> Underground hip hop (mf doom, mad lib, peanut butter wolf)
*-> UK garage (todd Edwards, MJ cole, El-tuth)

And you MGHIT also catch (now and then)

    Artist: narrows
    Track title: throw a wobbly
Style of music: beats and bass
    Status: established
    Release: n/a

Now you all must be thinking narrows the 4 to the floor bass line don has been pretty quite over the last couple of months. And your most proberly hoping if anything preying he doesn’t sell out and do a grime track just to keep up with the times. Well I can safely say PEOPLE…. PEOPLE DJ 4/4 narrows is still in the studio and sticking to his 4/4 bass style beats. Their no silly badbly EQed clappy grime tracks coming from this guy. And throw a wobbly is a typical example of the beats and bass sound. With a time stretched sample just before the drop saying BASSSLIIIINNNEEE… hold it then a wobbly bass line roles through with a 4 to the floor drum kit. I must admit this is nowhere near as good as previous tracks like saved soul, dreams or GARAGE rmx. Look out for the iceman shows

    Artist: rougster
    Track title: mothership
Style of music: beats and bass
    Status: up and coming
    Release: n/a

This one representing the garage breaks side of beats and bass and has a nice stringy intro which eventually deceives you and dies down into a chain saw sounding bass line. If you like your garage breaks oris jay style your gonna like this one. With a similar drum pattern to scandalous unlimited too loud this ones interesting. If any ones has contact details for urban collectives leave us an email at the bottom of this thread

    Artist: DJ massiya
Track title: cant beat the system
Style of music: beats and bass
    Status: up and coming
    Release: n/a

Oie listen star theirs some 4/4 bass line tune going round town and some dude from Manchester has made it. Apparently slimz has it larner has it and now I want it ice who is this guy. Ive been asked the same thing over and over again who? What? How? where?. It’s a track called cant beat the system and its ~DJ massiya from Manchester City. It’s the 4/4 bass side of beats and bass. Look out for the iceaman show no release date as of yet

    Artist: scandalous unlimited
    Track title: too loud
Style of music: beats and bass
    Status: established
    Release: n/a

Are we too loud is it too loud?? The crowd screams NOOOOOOOO then incomes a multiple stabbing bassline and an extra key at the end of the stabs just to finish of the sequence. This ones absolutely wicked I cant remember a track that’s made me wanna do back flips since said the spider or tell a lie nu jack swing by oris. As soon as the bassline kicks in you know you just wanna scream for the reload instantly. It just has that impact feel to it throughout the track. No release date as of yet keep it locked to iceman’s beats and bass shows to hear this track.

    Artist: food chain
    Track title: search and destroy
Style of music: beats and bass
    Status: established
    Release: couple of months

Whos ready for teeeexxxxtttuuurrrrreeee number 8. This time its search and destroy on the release with food chain being the track to look out for. Causing storm at the last forward with a remarkable play by DJ youngster at the end of his set. Look out for textures next release coming soon. We warned you!!!

Remember if you have any material you want to send to us mail us at icecreamman9000@hotmail.com. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND CD’s RESEMBLING SUB FUKING LOW OR 8 BAR WILL PROULDY GET DISSOLVED (we deal with snares NOT fúcking claps !!!).

BTw does 'Food Chain' sample 'Blade 2'? Can we get conformation or a denial.

If its the case then top of the 'food chain' is Luke Goss, from Bros.

Just heard the track "Food Chain", it's sounding fat and bionic. These are type of beats that need to take over London. If people wan't the same energy as 'Drum and Bass', with good quality, at a slower tempo, they need look no further.
