Default weekly ICEMAN post

For info on forth comings, reminders (old scoolish stuff), todz (all 4/4 massive), drum and bass, tribal beats, up and coming producers, down tempo broken beats and underground hip hop (I said underground hip hop. Though their pretty rair in the post). Keep it locked to the weekly ICEMAN post every Sunday. Been doing it since nine seven (9 7) and if garage is sinking im going down with it.

UK BASSBEAT = break beat basslines, dub step basslines but not 8 bar. Bassbeat is the title we use to sum up basslinea from every style of music on 140 bpm. Its not breakbeat it not dub step or tribal its just bass on rolling beats its BASSBEAT!!!. (forget all these other silly names)

1) War games – DJ genius
So im sitting here thinking what track to start the weekly ICEMAN post of with with one of my old tapes playing in the blackground and what come s on this track war games by the bad boy genius. Not sure if this one actually came out but it was definelty a hot tune. Produced about a year or more ago genius got bored of the track and decided not to release it. Not sure (shoulders raise)

2) Like we do – mark one
Mark one causes storm inside the weekly ICE studio. With this track tearing up the speakers. The 4/4 beat is just so hectic. Big shout to mark one for this one definitely the tune of the week. With a different style 4/4 beat and filtering vocals of a US man saying like we wanna do or something like that. Big track

3) break it down – morph
ok not too sure if this one was actually out. This track just reminds you of transformers. Very techno break beat sounding an excellent piece of engineering. Although the track wont appeal to most you gotta give morph his props when it comes to engineering. Ps look out for some RnB bits in nex weeks post coming from morph

4) Organ grinder – dj quest
Absolute grime shell. Looks like hell broke loose on this track man. Again one for the break beat boys big up DJ quest deekline all rat gang. This ones a pretty good track although doesn’t stand out as much. Should be forth coming on cyber funk recordings. Love the Rhodes piano thing going on in this tune big up all breakbeat connection don’t forget to represent at carnival this today and tomorrow

5) Trying – landslide rmx
Absolute wicked vocal track if you like your monkey jazz (jazz monkey = iceman mark 2) type sets you will like this track. If you’re into your phuturistix stuff look out for this bomb diggy dee track. Absolute wicked vocal track

6) Thelonious punk – phuturstix
Another classic phuturistic cut. Wicked soulful joint. Every track these boys bring is good news especially the soulful stuff. Don’t forget look out for trhe phuturistix album forth coming very soon!!!!

7) March – hatcha
Wom wom wom wom woo hoo hoo as the beat merges into the army marching sound what an idea. Absolute bomb tunnnee by the croydon boys. The thing about these croydon lot is they make big tracks like eight track which has now been re named to something eels and this track march but they don’t seem to wanna take off dub. Need to have words with mr hatcha about this because it was soposed to be release on solja

8) Camel ride – plastic man
This ones so fresh it hasn’t even been cut YET by anyone. Might be forth coming but by the sounds of plastic man excitement it proberly will be out in about 7 months. Unofficially entitled camel ride. To describe this one its pretty tribal but plastic man insists you can’t label this track. Hatcha already bang on this track and is ready to hammer it at the next fwd or his next play out. Wicked track one to look out for if you’re into your tribal

9) Fwd – ammunition promotions
Ok hears some unofficial news for you. Fwd might be going to Bristol to host a night down their but NOTE I dint say their moving to Bristol. Sarah is currently viewing the venue to see if the promotion would be suitable to be held down their. Bristol crew were coming for you!!!! Look out. Oh and don’t forget its fwd’s 2nd birt day bash.

10) Beautiful – hospital mixes
There are various mixes of this track by bugs in the attic, London electricity and of cause phuturistix. Absolute wicked soulful vocals. Im seeing ladies telling me it makes em horny and all that man so guys keep your ears and eyes open because its beautiful for ever!!!. PROMOS ARE OUT NOW

11) Fight – ed 209
Forth coming on rat recording tell a lie it should be out by now. Bound to be big fight alone by 209 is definitely a track to look out for if you’re a rat fan. Using the same samples as mark ones fight. Samples: “fight just like we used to do”

12) Album – jay lib
Out to my underground hip hop massive on this one, it’s the masters at work. Top Detroit hip hop producer JD aka jay dilla and underground comic underground MC Quasimoto ream up to do produce an album which is due to be released in September. Leave a post if you all need links previews to this album!!. Hears a teaser of Quasimoto taken from the unseen album check the link
