Default UK Rappers With US Accents

What you people think about this? are you feeling it or you think its dumb?

personally i think its the dumbest thing i've ever heard, and the london rappers who put on the african or jamican accent when they sing even tho they were born and raised hackney.

you wouldnt hear an up comming US rapper putting on a $$$$ney accent now would you?

same with this group Tripple KKK, everyone of dem puts on a US accent, and it still sounds shiit, they need to get real

maybe not up and coming. but slick rick and dana dane both put on mockney accents.

i tell you what is dumb though. deliberately mispelling to seem more street.

yea the yankee accents does not do any artists any favours, if they are gonna rep UK, they need to do it properly, and sum artists are bait with the accents as well....

basically if you put on a fake accent your sh.it , no way around it. if you aint from america and you put on an american assent your dry.

so all you mc's who sound american your sh.it.
i don't even like heads ywho dress american wiv them stupid american flat caps and basketball vests, come on keep it british.

lady sovereign sounds british , not american, i don't rate her , but she definatly sounds british.

All Good Then I Think, For Me Its The Fact That Man Born And Bred In Uk, With A Fake American Acc, Like America Started This Rap $$$$.. So No Hate Der Man, Or For Others, But Peeps From Different Countries, U Probably Only Hearing Usa Rap, Thats Probably The Only English You Hear So Its Different! But To Know English And Be Born And Bred Who Talks English Anyways, Why U Got To Switch Ur Uk For Usa! Thats The Fake Part For Me...
But Thats Only My Opinion And I Say It In A Humble Way!
Sorry Bout The Capitals But I Hit The Capslock Early Into Typeing And Couldnt Be Bothered To Write It All Again Once I Realised...

yeh....thats the reason why hiphop lovers from the uk press S.A.S alot and they like the other rappers from the US i think its all because of what you are sayin bout being fake and changin the accent of the rapper

SAS get better promotion from US record labels and they got a more Americanised style to their raps.

but i swear dizzee's been in america for ages now and he doesnt have a slight american accent. Hav u heard the S.A.S diss to marcus nasty wen hes talkin at the start and he has a normal english acent and then wen he starts rappin he goes into his half english half american. Its not that its changed its just so that he can sell more coz america aint ready for the full on english acent yet

LOL, Dizzee has been in America for a year max....Mega and May lived on Staten Island for far longer, so it was inevitable that they would pick up bits of the accent.

And if you listen to Streets All Salute, you'll see that they're far from faking the accent.

If anything, the production side of SAS is the Americanised side, whereas the rapping is English. The subject matter is another thing though...

Yes, and if you read MY post properly, I say they rap ENGLISH, but the PRODUCTION, IE the beats, are AMERICAN.
