Also another point is that U.S rappers love their bling, cars and divas, so in order to get these you need to get dollar! thats why they have almost converted american rap to a popish rap because they would get more money in the industry, due to tha fact that more people listen to pop than rap, (pop is short for popular)

take a look at eminem, nelly, 50 cent, its no longer proper rap like it was 10 years ago, there more like pop tunes. Thats why tha biggest hip hop fans would rather listen to old skool than new skool, well my mates do anyway.

However in tha UK, theyre not so bothered about tha cash, an they get girls anyway, they keep there music real for the streets all tha time.

UK all the way. Im getting tired of stateside hip hop. UK has got some better beats and the lyrics arent always about drive by's, getting chics pregnant, smoking crack/or sellin it and making money.
Bah $$$$ that $$$$ Im down with UK

Default I think US Hip-Hop Music is better!!!

Hi guys, i've just join this website and i'm very interested in this discussion. Well....i personally think that the US music is better. Most of the artistists i listen to are from US, I think there vocals are good. I think alot of the artistists from the UK got there ideas from the US and i bet if you ask them where they got there influnce from, they would probably say from a US artist!!!

US Hip-Hop. UK rap is still a copycat of US, unless that change, no chance sadly.

i live in the UK and i grew with US Hiphop i just find most UK Artists dont have much too different from US it does sound very copy cat'ish and recently american hiphop has been very money orientated and seems to be produced just to make money the talent seems to be slacking there recently,

Even as an american citizen myself, I am going to have to go with UK. Having stepped OUT of the box, I realize how over-saturated hip-hop has become in US. Hip Hop and Rap have each developed meanings of their own over the years.. In US, seems like people don't know what's what anymore. One minute Lil Wayne is our God, next minute Drake, then back to Jay Z and now Bieber "featuring" Kanye.. just NONSENSE. I'm pretty certain UK Hip-Hop has a different point-of-view to offer as far as healthy "food for thought".

I'm definitely feeling both but I have to say I do listen to US Hip Hop more than British Hip Hop, a lot of people are talking make believe over here or stuck remixing American artists songs, be original!

Us hiphop is more business but I'm seeing US investers investing in UK hiphop now too, its getting abit twisted.
