2003 was O.K. but could be alot better, in 2004. The only problem with Garage in 2003, is the badman mc's. We simply can not rave to Mc's who talk violently.
S h i t, you go out to have fun and forget about the streets or hood, but when you go raving people are talking about road, and that's nonsense.
Music wise I don't care what style it is, from '4Floor', to 'Grime', you can have a good time listening to all types of 'Garage'. The music don't make people violent, as the 'Drum and Bass' scene, has proved. The Mc's of today, with a 'Grimey' beat, will however create tension, among weak minds.
I don't mean to to be taking a pick at 'New-Skool' Mc's, but there is no need for them to talk hard, when most people just want to listen to the music, with some party lyrics. Instead ravers are not really listening to the music being played, but they are concentrating on what the 'Badman' Mc, is saying, instead. At the end of the day it's bulls h i t, so much that most girls don't rave to Garage anymore, they think it's a male ting ?.
Anyway, the music can only get stronger, in all it's forms, and create a new lease of life for itself. I love the music, I just hate wack Mc's. For 2004, I hope more clubs start re-booking Garage events, and the scene gets back to being, sexy and stylish.
Long live 'Uk Garage'........................................... .......................
