    dizzee rascal - winner
    rossi b luca - winner
    slimzee - bigboy dj
    not forgetting everyone else.
top producers/dj's with a positive attitude. pushing new and fresh music.
how else can you save what was fast becoming a very wack scene.

Well it's been a pretty quite year for Garage on the club scene within London, but the clubs that are still running such as 'Ministry' have done their job well, keeping Garage alight.

The music at the moment is taking more wists and turns, the FWD sound is getting bigger and more noticed. More Mc's than ever are springing up from East London, showing their menacing skills to the ravers at large. The so called 4 floor revival, still seems dead, and i'm not too bothered. The number one grimey 8-Bar Dj, has put his foot down, and is now catering for the FWD sound.

    Future for 2004 -
Well we still need to get our clubs back, in order for us to move further than a handful of nights. Mc's really, really, need to bring back the party lyrics, and stop imposing their misfortune on the ravers. They also need to stop having 23 members of the same crew on stage.

Daniel Beddingfield, Miss Dynamite, Craig David and So Solid, need to come back to their roots, and back the artistic music, that made them who they are today.

Lastly we all need to try our best to reclaim the colourless, variated sound we call G.A.R.A.G.E., back to the forefront, of the music industry moguls.

Lets stand up and be counted for the sound we believe in....................

    that was a great speach.........

I totally agree on the MC and imposing misfortunes.

Personally, If im in a rave dancing i dont wanna hear about how "my man will get bored in da face"........

And i dont wanna hear bare racket as well, 23 mans on a stage ISNT BIG AND NOT CLEVER, nor is having the MIC gain in the red......

So solid, now i bet most of these "yutes" nowadays will think "that brea is mad, so solid are $$$$!"....go blow pip squeaks, when so solid were running the crew thing you wouldnt see 34 of them on stage at once shouting "crap" down the mic. Who remembers when Neutrino used to go "when i say u say we say they say make some.................NOISE" tacky?? Kinda.........But it used to rock the crowd.

So for 2004, i totally agree with Silo.....

yeah, i agree with Silo as well.

I think a the 'bassline' scene needs to return to the feeling it was a few years ago, not saying making copies of it, but as in Vocal AND Bassline tracks being played in the same set, that actually sound like the same style of music.

Plus i think 2 step needs to come back more...i still loveit, i'm sure others do.

2003 has once again proved that there is still no DJ good enough to compete with EZ for the top spot! Slimzee won't eva be top dog because he only plays dark tracks, which is cool don't get me wrong, but Z has more variety and pleases a wider range of listeners. On top of that Slimzee's mixing needs work *ahem.

MC of the year, still B-Live! Fresh new lyrics all the time, whicked crowd hyper etc... Viper proberbly comes a close 2nd, still the original badboy MC in the industry.

Wiley for me is this is MC disapointment.... The guy is almost hands down the best Grime producer in the scene, but I think his lyrics have suffered and he is far far far too repetative with his lyrics now. He lacks the inventivity he had last year.

Grime, Break-step etc.. All the dark stuff still big, with loads more to come! Wiley like I said representing on production still, Plasticman has emerged with some sick beats, plus loads more.

Main thing this year for me though is I think 4x4 happy UK Garage is slowly making it's long awaited come back! Todd The God is pushing out new beats faster and faster now, MJ Cole has pulled some big tracks outta his back pocket, and more and more quailty producers are jumping on the 4x4 bandwagon.. which is what the scene needs!!!

Best night of the year.... Hmmm thats easy... 4 By 4 New Years day, 1st Jan at Time & Envy!!! Followed by EZ's B-day Bash at Eros in 2nd place. Anyone who went to these nights will totally agree I'm sure.

Best track of the year.... Hmmmmm, very, very tough choice.... so tough infact I won't choose hahahaha. Lots of good production this year, in the Grime scene and Vocal/4x4 etc.

    Round up

    Best DJ: EZ (hands down)

    Best MC: B-Live

Best Producer's: Todd 'The God' Edwards (4x4/Vocal) Wiley (Grime)

Best Event: 4 By 4 New years Day 1st Jan

Come back King: 'Quailty' 4x4 Garage Music

i think mark one has really come on strong since the release of 'blairwitch' earlier in the year. But dubstep is the most popular sound at the mo (if you listen to rinse).. largly due to youngstar and hatcha.

Its a whole different pace.. bring back zinc, narrows, oris and chase and status... am preferin the plasticman tracks now that his pace has quickened, i.e. 'spring roller' and 'cha'.

crew scene is seperating more and more from the rest of garage which is a good thing. trouble has followed it. eskimo dance to be blatant. leaving places like smoove to reep the benefits, never any trouble there.

its been a finding its feet year, where the musics gone back to basics, and got rid of the party people and picked up the real listeners. if your not in it its not for u anymore.

donaeo, rossi and luca, b-live all got the recognition they deserved this year.

lets hope 2004 is bigger and better.
