It's SIDEWINDER's 6th Birthday!!!!!!
Well what a amazing and exciting 6 years it has been, we have seen the entire UK Urban scene evolve in this time which has taken many different paths and routes and at the same time continually keeping the scene very fresh and healthy. Sidewinder has continued to push the boundaries, continually encouraging new UK talents to do what they do best, this has effectively helped to maintain the profile of the UK Urban scene of today, breaking fresh new talent and making the major record labels once again sit up and recognise that the UK is a force to be reconed with!

After carefull consideration and in order to keep Sidewinder at the very forefront of the scene we have decided to change our promotional tactics, rather than a flyer with the full line up on being advertised, Sidewinder's 6th Birthday artist line up will not be announced until the night itself. The reason we are doing this is for many reasons but most importantly to bring back the element of surprise which makes the events even more exciting !
Our scene that we are all very passionate about is only as strong as its audience, history has proved in the past to be very damaging when particular elements of the scene allow themselves to dictate how the scene should progress we are not saying that this is not important to keep pushing the scene but everyone that makes up the scene needs to work together to keep it healthy.
Sidewinder believe that the long term strength of the scene can only be maintained if everyone works together and keep YOU the most important part of the scene satisfied and happy. We can keep our scene healthy by not announcing the line up until the day of the event, thus enabling us to bring YOU the freshest most upfront UK talent on the night! You will still see a massive line up which you can always expect from any Sidewinder event with the biggest UK artists on show!

Sat 2nd April will have two arenas: Arena 1 UK Garage '99 - '05 and Arena 2 Street Beats & Grime. This event will be a double celebration as not only is it our 6th Birthday but we will also be joined by the infamous DJ Cameo for his birthday where he has promised us all a set to remember!!!!!!!!

This event will be recorded live by BBC 1Xtra and broadcasted on Sat 9th April 11pm - 2am.
